Junior Open Water Diver

Not yet 12, but want to learn to dive? Basic training for independent diving.

Diving is an adventure. Every time again. The globally recognized IDD Junior Open Water Diver course teaches you everything you need to know to explore the wonderful world underwater together with your adult buddy. Experience what it's like to float completely weightless. At IDD it's all about fun and safety. You will learn in a natural way step by step everything that is needed. To get to know all the basics, you start with theory and in the pool or confined water. This way you'll be well prepared for the open water.

What are we going to do?

We can offer tailor-made solutions to the student, because we work with a modular learning system.

You start with the theory
Diving exercises in the swimming pool and/or sheltered outdoor water
You do a minimum of 5 modules in the open water under supervision of an IDD instructor.
You perform at least 1 independent planned dive
Maximum diving depth is up to 12 metres

What do you need?

Minimum age for participation: 10 years

Brevet

After completion of the course you will receive the IDD certification Junior Open Water Diver. A junior open water diver may dive together with an adult certified open water diver up to 12 meters.

NOTES. When you turn 12 years old, your junior open water certification can be converted to Open Water Diver.

Continuing education

At the age of 12, your Junior Open Water certification may be converted to the regular Open Water certification. You can then also register for the Advanced Open Water Diver course. You will go one step further and learn how to dive deeper and more independently.
